Hai and Ryan met online in the summer of 2014 just before Hai was about to embark on the second half of his solo road trip across the country. Ryan was about to go on his annual summer vacation with his family to Salisbury beach. Hai and Ryan kept in touch updating each other every single day. Hai sent Ryan pictures of his adventure from Venice Beach and Las Vegas. Ryan shared precious family moments on the beach with Miller Lites in hand.

     Almost a month went by, Hai and Ryan continued to exchange witty and joking comments to each other daily. It was at this moment when the time felt right and they finally met for the first time on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. The school year has started for Hai and Ryan was working in Saugus. Salem seemed like the perfect location given Ryan wasn’t comfortable driving in Boston at the time. They walked and explored the town, which if anyone who knows Hai, knows that's not something he's fond of, so this was "first-date Hai." They had dinner on the water at Victoria’s Station where they continued to mesmerize each other with personal stories. The conversation continued after dinner at a small and quaint coffee shop down the street.

    There was a strong connection made that night, Hai and Ryan found themselves spending more time together. Hai showed Ryan the ins and outs of Boston, and wanted to share the experience of traveling with Ryan. Ryan helped Hai see the Holidays in a completely different way, especially Halloween. Both Hai and Ryan have strong ties to their families, they love their friends, and embrace everything life can offer.

     Hai and Ryan understand the importance of working hard to build their relationship. They are committed to nurture and strengthen the love they have for each other every single day.
